Vacations. BBQs. SummerTime.... Staying On Track!

How many of you have already attended a bazillion BBQs, birthday parties, graduation parties, company picnics, vacations, etc?! How many of you feel you need to go purchase a bigger belt!

Honestly, I find it so difficult to stay on track during these difficult times. As for an example today, I was invited to a birthday party. I went and really had no intentions on eating any cake. But, I did. The temptations got the best of me tonight, which is ok because I am human and I am not perfect BUT I will not let that happen every time I attend a party this summer!

I wanted to share with you all a few tips I put together for my current accountability groups! Staying on track during the weekends could honestly be a game changer for your journey! One tip that I did not put on this list below but I want to share with you all because I honestly think that it makes the biggest impact on your success... GO IN IT WITH A "CAN DO" ATTITUDE!

It is really that simple. When you focus on something and you believe that you are capable of achieving great things, you will do just that! You have to program your mind that you are able to achieve these goals!

So here are my 6 tips that I hope you find beneficial for staying on track during the weekends and all throughout this crazy, busy summer! :)

  1. Don't Skip a Workout -- Honestly, it is so hard to just want to relax during on the weekends but even if it's a 20 minute walk around the neighborhood, a yoga class, or a bike ride! Just get moving!
  2. Drink Water! -- Drinking water is so important. Staying hydrated is extremely vital for every bodily function. If you have too, set a reminder on your phone to get it in!
  3. Get Outside -- Yes the outdoors are amazing! Go for a walk with your children, play outside with them, take the dogs for a walk... getting in fresh air can clear your mind and just make you happy overall!
  4. Prepare for the week ahead -- I always spend my Sundays meal prepping. I will create my meal plan for the week with lunch, and dinner at home. It takes the guessing game out of work so when it comes Monday morning - you aren't thinking oh man, I forgot to get my lunch! No having to spend money out at the local Subway or restaurant! I also plan out a dinner menu with my husband so we aren't guessing on what to have and then get so frustrated we just go eat out (which truth be told... this does happen!)
  5. Try something new - This can cover a wide variety of things.. a new outside activity, new recipe, new workout program, anything! Just try it. :)
  6. Evaluate your previous week - Take a moment to sit down. Think about what worked for you, and what didn't. What can you skip out on and what should you be doing more of!

I really hope that you find this beneficial. Feel free to share with any friends or family! Remember, be a weekend warrior and keep focused to achieving your goals even through these busy months of the year!

If you still find yourself with struggling to stay on track, feel free to contact me! I have an exclusive accountability group open to anyone and everyone! We share clean eating tips, recipes, tips to avoid the temptations at the summer BBQs, and the support is amazing! I am......... A Blogger!

I was listening to a Podcast the other day. You know what is funny -- It spoke to me, like literally spoke to me and said - you need to get back on board with your blog!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The one thing I got to thinking about is this blog. It has been lacking some love and I really haven't been keeping up with it. WHY? Well, because I really didn't think I was good enough to write a blog. But the reason that is --- I wasn't trying to make it good. I wasn't trying to make it valuable. Sure, I put posts out there that were meant to help, inspire, encourage, and drive individuals to live a happier and healthier life BUT -- I really wasn't giving it my all!

SO.... Here I am! I am taking a stab at this again and putting forth more effort into this blog! It's a great way to share my struggles, get opinions from my followers and actually share what goes through this crazy mind of mine! :)

I am hoping that you will stick around and get ready for a change for the Blog!

What should you do now:

  • Check back every couple days for a new post
  • Comment on this post on what type of posts you would like to see
  • If you enjoy what you see, simply like, comment, share and maybe even leave me a review!

Thank you all to my loyal followers and I hope to make you proud with some upcoming changes to the blog! :)

Busy Life. No Problem!

I have always been one who constantly likes to keep moving. I find myself going CRAZY when I don't really have much going on. I would rather be cleaning the house, working on a project, doing who knows what else than lounging on the couch watching television. I feel that this reason alone, is why I enjoy being a health and fitness coach so much! There is always something to do and never the same boring routine, day in and day out!

I am a full time employee, your typical 9-5er, in the awesome Corporate America world. I work for sales in an energy and gas industry. This in itself keeps me quite busy throughout the day. I am a recently married (almost one year) Furbaby Momma, who enjoys spending time with my husband, friends and family when I get the time. I also support my husband in his own business. He is a wedding disc jockey as well as the owner of Pixburgh PhotoBooth! We support each other through our wild and crazy ideas/dreams and passion! I enjoy working out and have been consistently committed to my health and fitness journey for the last 27 months.

Before getting a handle on time management, I always said I never had time to do anything! Hence, read all the things above I do on a regular basis. When I first started my health and fitness journey, I was riding solo. I would spend almost about an hour or two in the evenings at the gym. Although I wasn't living with my husband at the time, I still needed to prioritize my time to ensure I was able to spend quality time with him. I was also at the time working crazy amount of overtime due to saving money for our upcoming wedding. Life was seriously insane, and I wasn't sure how much longer I was going to be able to keep up with this routine.

With that being said, going back to January 2014, I was introduced to this crazy, health and fitness coaching opportunity with Team Beachbody! I was a little skeptical because I wasn't sure if it actually worked. I already had so much going on with work and planning my upcoming wedding, and ensuring that I had enough time to spend with my husband and do my workouts I wasn't sure I could add more stuff to my plate! Needless to say, I had my priorities completely OUT OF WHACK! Beachbody helped me relieve all the stress I had with Time Management, prioritizing my priorities and understanding the importance of nutrition during the journey! Why do I bring up the comment about the nutrition? Well it's quite simple.... when you follow the 80/20 rule, and consistently follow a workout program that has everything spelled out for you... YOU SAVE A LOT OF TIME! I was able to cut back on my workout times from 2 hours a day, to just 30-60 minutes a day depending on what kind of mood I was in!

I know what it's like to be busy. I know what it's like to say I will never have enough hours in this day to complete everything I need to... but I learned how to "Eat that Frog" as Brian Tracy would say. Simply meaning, do the one thing you are most likely to procrastinate on later in the day first thing!

I knew that I wanted to make something of myself. I knew that putting in the extra hours here and there would eventually allow me to free up time in the future once I started seeing things pick up! So, that is exactly my mentality. I make my priority to do list. I focus on what is important. How successful I want to be. How fast I want to grow this business and just how far I want to go with it. I know that I have some obstacles that stand in the way, but I have come up with solutions on how to work around them!

Read on to see what a typical day looks like for me:

  • I sacrifice sleep time. Wake up call at 4:30 AM to get my workouts in so I don't have to worry about it after work (Eating That Frog!)
  • 5:30 AM I schedule time to check in with my challengers, coaches and my upline's groups to ensure I can stay up to date with all the current events, news, and any other necessary items on my to do list for my business.
  • 6 AM - I make myself a delicious breakfast to ensure I get my day started off right
  • 7 AM - Finish getting ready for work, then head to the office
  • 7:40 AM - Hope in the car, and listen to an awesome personal development podcast or our National Wake Up calls! Knowledge is Power!!!
  • Evenings are up in the air. If I feel like I need to spend more time on my business, I most certainly do, but most of the time I enjoy a nice, tasty dinner with my husband and relax for the evening.
Yes, you may think I am crazy for waking up at 4:30 AM Monday - Friday, but this type of routine fits my needs and schedule! I know that this routine will set me up for success... it works for me, it's not consuming my life, and I have my free time to do what I want to do.

I want to invite you to take a leap of faith, experience an opportunity of a lifetime, and learn how I am on the path to creating a life by design! If you would like more information, please fill out the form below and I will contact you! This exclusive opportunity is only open to 5 individuals at this time. This will ensure that I am able to spend adequate amount of time with these lucky individuals! Don't miss out, this exclusive group begins on April 6th!

Fitness. Nutrition. Support. Rewards! To keep you going strong!

So here I am, sitting and thinking about my New Year's Resolutions, I am pretty much right on target with them. Can you say the same? What did you commit to this year? Be more financially responsible, spend more time with your kids, reduce the technology use, or how about one of the top five and almost everyone's #1 resolution, TO LOSE WEIGHT....

How is that working out for you? Gyms too crowded? Personal Trainer isn't working? You can't cook "healthy" food because your kids and hubby/wife doesn't like it? Not seeing results quick enough? Every excuse under the sun right, every excuse except you might just not be giving it the 100% you said you would on January 1, 2015?

Did you know that I can offer you a proven system that will assist you in being successful in your health and fitness journey? It isn't rocket science, it is just a system we put into place... something that we spend a lot of time tweaking and ensuring the best possible outcomes and we basically wave it in your face like a million bucks! IT IS SO EASY!!! Are you ready for it? Hold on to your seat, it's that good...

PROPER FITNESS + PROPER NUTRITION + SUPPORT + REWARDS!!!! = SUCCESS!!

If you cut out any one of these above, there will be that missing puzzle piece!!

You can start a gym, get a personal trainer but you don't have a nutritional guide to help you figure out the proper diet or someone to keep you motivated. You could start a diet, but not have a solid fitness plan and lack of motivation to keep going, and so forth.

The reason why these four factors are so important is because you really need them, you need to understand what is the proper way to do certain workouts and when you only meet your trainer once a week, you are kind of left in the dark the other 6 days. When you are starting a diet, and you think eating a cheeseburger three times a week from Burger King is ok, then you are probably not going to see much results. You will just be sweating, just to sweat! And with lack of support or rewards, you get hung up on all those excuses you used above and fall flat on your face again... am I right or am I right?

TRUST ME... I was there. It wasn't pretty when I started. I had no support system, I never knew about clean eating and I learned everything for myself!

But you ask, "how do you get all four of these things in one place?" -- SIMPLE --- Join our upcoming Lifestyle Change January 26th Fitness Accountability and Support Group! :) We go over all the basics and teach you the what clean eating actually means, offer you a fitness program, daily motivation and support, as well as the awesome rewards that come along with it.

Here are all the incentives and so much more to getting into our upcoming group.

  • Learn why nutrition is so important during this journey. Like the say, there is no such thing as poor fitness, but there is such thing as poor nutrition! You could spend hours in the gym on those cardio machines and see absolutely no changes if you don't eat properly!
  • Support will add so much value to the group. A community of like minded people who you can chat with 24/7 in a private group, offering their tips, knowing they are all willing to help you! If at any time you found yourself struggling, you could easily go to the group and see that everyone else may be struggling but are lifting each other's spirits and rooting you on so you keep going! You will be able to connect with many new people and maybe even create life long friends. You are all taking on an incredible journey together and all creating a happier lifestyle! This will help YOU create your SUCCESS STORY! We're rooting for YOU!
  • Ever find that you can't stay on track, because you don't have a meal plan and you don't have time to research all that nonsense. What if you were handed a super easy schedule to follow, a meal plan to duplicate and proven results for you to believe in. I know for a fact when I started, I was so lost, didn't know what types of foods to eat, what to avoid and what was ok to have in moderation. All Beachbody programs come with that nutritional guide that you can follow along with and ensure you are eating correctly throughout the entire workout program. They also offer food storage containers that are based on proper portion control! It takes AWAY ALL of the guesswork to ensure you are getting the best nutrition possible! This is what most people struggle with!
  • Shakeology! Shakeology is not your protein shake because it offers so much more than that. I was skeptic at first like many others and I didn't see the need to invest in this stuff if I was "eating what I thought was healthy". But after I committed to the 30 days, I realized I had so much more energy. I was able to get up in the early AM to get my workout done, no mid-afternoon slump and how about this one, LESS CRAVINGS FOR SWEETS!!!! It was so simple, so easy, and so delicious! It takes less than 5 minutes to make so if your are in a hurry, this is a great alternative to stopping at the local gas station for coffee and a muffin! In all honesty, it will save you TIME & money, both which are extremely valuable to you, I am sure! And for my last point about shakeology. It offers proper nutrition that I was never getting before. I am healthier, performing better with my workouts and now I use it as my daily vitamin. It is not a weight loss shake or a protein shake, it is simply a healthy, nutritional shake! EASY. SIMPLE. GRAB & GO FOOD CHOICE!
  • ACCOUNTABILITY is what every person needs when beginning a workout program and/or diet! They need someone who is going to keep them in check, and someone who is leading by example! I as a coach know that my challengers are watching me, asking did I workout today, did I eat healthy all day, did I have my shake today. These are the lives of people who want to be better and want to live a happier and healthier life, so if doing what I love is enough to help change people's lives, I am all in! SIGN ME UP!

So here's the great news: I am hosting a 45 day fitness support and accountability group through my online Facebook private page.

I am really trying to mentally prepare myself because my husband and I have decided that we only want to venture out and do the larger grocery list shopping maybe once or twice a month, CRAZY RIGHT? Well the thing is, that means I would have to put together TWO weeks worth of meal plans. But as well as the bulk buying we are doing while grocery shopping to save money, this will ensure that we are able to have enough food for this longer period of time and help us stay on track. We have also agreed to not eat out until the New Year except for a Holiday Party we are attending later in the month.

What are my difficulties with staying on track with nutrition?
My biggest struggle while staying on track with my nutrition is sweets! I have tried to plan accordingly and choose "healthy" sweeter foods. This will help ensure that I am not grabbing snacks throughout the day or depriving myself. 80/20 rule is key when trying to stick with any fitness program. If you aren't then you will set yourself up for failure by depriving yourself of those "treats" here and there.

What do I hope to get out of this weekly meal plan?
I hope this meal plan and seeing it everyday keeps me on track because they do say, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I usually prep my lunches during the day Sunday and keep them similar because it's easier for me when I am in the office. I get a lot of peer pressure from the office, so I want to ensure that I am able to come back and say that I already have my lunch and pass on the invitation.

Beginning December 15th, my husband and I will be venturing into the crazy journey of Insanity Max: 30! I will be sharing our progress and our meal plans for the week as we go on and will ensure that we share with you our struggles and what we love about the program! Be sure to subscribe to my blog to ensure you are getting the information!
