Vacations. BBQs. SummerTime.... Staying On Track!

How many of you have already attended a bazillion BBQs, birthday parties, graduation parties, company picnics, vacations, etc?! How many of you feel you need to go purchase a bigger belt!

Honestly, I find it so difficult to stay on track during these difficult times. As for an example today, I was invited to a birthday party. I went and really had no intentions on eating any cake. But, I did. The temptations got the best of me tonight, which is ok because I am human and I am not perfect BUT I will not let that happen every time I attend a party this summer!

I wanted to share with you all a few tips I put together for my current accountability groups! Staying on track during the weekends could honestly be a game changer for your journey! One tip that I did not put on this list below but I want to share with you all because I honestly think that it makes the biggest impact on your success... GO IN IT WITH A "CAN DO" ATTITUDE!

It is really that simple. When you focus on something and you believe that you are capable of achieving great things, you will do just that! You have to program your mind that you are able to achieve these goals!

So here are my 6 tips that I hope you find beneficial for staying on track during the weekends and all throughout this crazy, busy summer! :)

  1. Don't Skip a Workout -- Honestly, it is so hard to just want to relax during on the weekends but even if it's a 20 minute walk around the neighborhood, a yoga class, or a bike ride! Just get moving!
  2. Drink Water! -- Drinking water is so important. Staying hydrated is extremely vital for every bodily function. If you have too, set a reminder on your phone to get it in!
  3. Get Outside -- Yes the outdoors are amazing! Go for a walk with your children, play outside with them, take the dogs for a walk... getting in fresh air can clear your mind and just make you happy overall!
  4. Prepare for the week ahead -- I always spend my Sundays meal prepping. I will create my meal plan for the week with lunch, and dinner at home. It takes the guessing game out of work so when it comes Monday morning - you aren't thinking oh man, I forgot to get my lunch! No having to spend money out at the local Subway or restaurant! I also plan out a dinner menu with my husband so we aren't guessing on what to have and then get so frustrated we just go eat out (which truth be told... this does happen!)
  5. Try something new - This can cover a wide variety of things.. a new outside activity, new recipe, new workout program, anything! Just try it. :)
  6. Evaluate your previous week - Take a moment to sit down. Think about what worked for you, and what didn't. What can you skip out on and what should you be doing more of!

I really hope that you find this beneficial. Feel free to share with any friends or family! Remember, be a weekend warrior and keep focused to achieving your goals even through these busy months of the year!

If you still find yourself with struggling to stay on track, feel free to contact me! I have an exclusive accountability group open to anyone and everyone! We share clean eating tips, recipes, tips to avoid the temptations at the summer BBQs, and the support is amazing! Proud Daughter Moment!! :)

Today was an extremely proud daughter moment for me! I was chatting with my mom a couple weeks ago and recently learned that she had committed to getting a gym membership! As her only daughter who has such a huge passion for health and fitness, I was beyond ecstatic. We never really talked too much but after chatting with her everyday after that call and saw that she was totally committed, I thought about mentioning to her about this super awesome Shakeology Sampler that Beachbody just released (read on to hear more about this awesome new product). It was perfect for her because she could sample all six flavors of Shakeology that we offer. I don't recall her ever drinking any nutritional shakes and thought it would be the perfect addition to her health and fitness journey!

I spoke with her today and she had mentioned that she really enjoyed her shake! She was excited because she had so much energy and the taste was great! :) I was seriously just jumping for joy because my mom has always been the type to put everyone before her. She would always ensure everyone else's needs were met before hers which in turn, caused her own needs (health) to be placed on the back burner. She finally realized that she was done with the excuses and she wanted a change! I couldn't have been more proud of my mother for this!

What amazes me even more is that she was able to experience some of the amazing benefits of Shakeoogy right after having the shake! She had long lasting energy that helped her keep active all day! Do protein shakes do that? Probably not which what makes Shakeology so unique. Shakeology IS NOT (and I repeat, IS NOT) a protein shake. It is an all-natural, superfood packed nutritional shake! It has more than just protein. It has those Superfoods that help fight against inflammation (which is the leading cause to most diseases!!!) Shakeology helps regulate your digestive system and gives you some long lasting energy! But yes, Shakeology will assist in your weight loss journey but it is not designed strictly for weight loss. It is designed to ensure you are getting PROPER nutrition which in our society, is ignored most of the time. People lack time, are always on the go and would rather accommodate their growling tummy with a quick and easy trip through the nearest driveby.. but yes another added benefit to Shakeology is the simple fact that it is quick, easy and super convenient!! If you would like to take a leap of faith, and just go with your gut feeling and give Shakeology a go, email me at StephMcClintock@teambeachbody.com!!
Order the Shakeology Sampler!

Going back to my mother's situation where she constantly neglected her own health after having her children and then of course grandchildren.. I want to make it very aware to you that YOU are worth so much more than you think! Every single person, no matter how busy you are, how much stress you are under, who all you are caring for, etc. deserves to have their needs fulfilled just as much as everyone around them. YOU have to be ok with allowing yourself some type of success, happiness, and fulfillment in life!

Wouldn't life be wonderful if you could be surrounded by uplifting, inspiring, and motivating individuals? People who understood the struggles you experience in life, but also could share tips and tricks on ways to overcome those struggles? What if you could stop the negative self-talk? What if you could design a life you were proud of and you actually loved! If you answered yes to any of these questions, I want you to join our Fit Squad! Fill out the questionnaire below and I will contact you about an amazing opportunity you will not want to miss out on.

Busy Life. No Problem!

I have always been one who constantly likes to keep moving. I find myself going CRAZY when I don't really have much going on. I would rather be cleaning the house, working on a project, doing who knows what else than lounging on the couch watching television. I feel that this reason alone, is why I enjoy being a health and fitness coach so much! There is always something to do and never the same boring routine, day in and day out!

I am a full time employee, your typical 9-5er, in the awesome Corporate America world. I work for sales in an energy and gas industry. This in itself keeps me quite busy throughout the day. I am a recently married (almost one year) Furbaby Momma, who enjoys spending time with my husband, friends and family when I get the time. I also support my husband in his own business. He is a wedding disc jockey as well as the owner of Pixburgh PhotoBooth! We support each other through our wild and crazy ideas/dreams and passion! I enjoy working out and have been consistently committed to my health and fitness journey for the last 27 months.

Before getting a handle on time management, I always said I never had time to do anything! Hence, read all the things above I do on a regular basis. When I first started my health and fitness journey, I was riding solo. I would spend almost about an hour or two in the evenings at the gym. Although I wasn't living with my husband at the time, I still needed to prioritize my time to ensure I was able to spend quality time with him. I was also at the time working crazy amount of overtime due to saving money for our upcoming wedding. Life was seriously insane, and I wasn't sure how much longer I was going to be able to keep up with this routine.

With that being said, going back to January 2014, I was introduced to this crazy, health and fitness coaching opportunity with Team Beachbody! I was a little skeptical because I wasn't sure if it actually worked. I already had so much going on with work and planning my upcoming wedding, and ensuring that I had enough time to spend with my husband and do my workouts I wasn't sure I could add more stuff to my plate! Needless to say, I had my priorities completely OUT OF WHACK! Beachbody helped me relieve all the stress I had with Time Management, prioritizing my priorities and understanding the importance of nutrition during the journey! Why do I bring up the comment about the nutrition? Well it's quite simple.... when you follow the 80/20 rule, and consistently follow a workout program that has everything spelled out for you... YOU SAVE A LOT OF TIME! I was able to cut back on my workout times from 2 hours a day, to just 30-60 minutes a day depending on what kind of mood I was in!

I know what it's like to be busy. I know what it's like to say I will never have enough hours in this day to complete everything I need to... but I learned how to "Eat that Frog" as Brian Tracy would say. Simply meaning, do the one thing you are most likely to procrastinate on later in the day first thing!

I knew that I wanted to make something of myself. I knew that putting in the extra hours here and there would eventually allow me to free up time in the future once I started seeing things pick up! So, that is exactly my mentality. I make my priority to do list. I focus on what is important. How successful I want to be. How fast I want to grow this business and just how far I want to go with it. I know that I have some obstacles that stand in the way, but I have come up with solutions on how to work around them!

Read on to see what a typical day looks like for me:

  • I sacrifice sleep time. Wake up call at 4:30 AM to get my workouts in so I don't have to worry about it after work (Eating That Frog!)
  • 5:30 AM I schedule time to check in with my challengers, coaches and my upline's groups to ensure I can stay up to date with all the current events, news, and any other necessary items on my to do list for my business.
  • 6 AM - I make myself a delicious breakfast to ensure I get my day started off right
  • 7 AM - Finish getting ready for work, then head to the office
  • 7:40 AM - Hope in the car, and listen to an awesome personal development podcast or our National Wake Up calls! Knowledge is Power!!!
  • Evenings are up in the air. If I feel like I need to spend more time on my business, I most certainly do, but most of the time I enjoy a nice, tasty dinner with my husband and relax for the evening.
Yes, you may think I am crazy for waking up at 4:30 AM Monday - Friday, but this type of routine fits my needs and schedule! I know that this routine will set me up for success... it works for me, it's not consuming my life, and I have my free time to do what I want to do.

I want to invite you to take a leap of faith, experience an opportunity of a lifetime, and learn how I am on the path to creating a life by design! If you would like more information, please fill out the form below and I will contact you! This exclusive opportunity is only open to 5 individuals at this time. This will ensure that I am able to spend adequate amount of time with these lucky individuals! Don't miss out, this exclusive group begins on April 6th!

Enough is Enough! Excuses won't get me results!!

"Would you rather be covered in sweat or covered in clothes on the beach?"

That is what I have to keep asking myself. I have been slacking off hardcore and really not sure what the deal is. I told myself that I would commit to staying on track and focused over the last month to prepare for my birthday weekend in Myrtle Beach, BUT I have just been eating anything and everything I wanted (women, that time of the month, if you know what I mean!) It has been oober stressful. The lack of willpower I have just drives me insane!! The hardest part is that I mentally beat myself up and get really discouraged, depressed about not seeing any results..... NEWSFLASH, YOU DON'T GET THE RESULTS YOU WANT WHEN YOUR DIET SUCKS!!! Point. Blank!

So today, I have committed to going all in. I have 17 days until I head to Myrtle Beach and I know that I can I can do it.  After recently listening to some personal development about whether or not you can do something, it is all in how you go about it. Tell yourself you are going to fail, you will fail. Tell yourself it will be tough, but you know you can do it and constantly remind yourself you are doing great... you will do great! Positive reinforcement will take you great places! Which is exactly what begins today.... I KNOW I can do this.. and I will! :)

I want to extend an invitation to you! I want you to join me, cheer me on, help keep me motivated and cross that finish line with me! And in return, I WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOU! It is all about team effort. I find that when you have an amazing support group standing behind you, cheering you on, rooting for you, putting all their belief in you... you will without a doubt be successful! With that being said, I am hosting an exclusive 30 day challenge group beginning on April 6th. Our challenge groups have taught people the ultimate formula. Fitness + Results + Motivation + Accountability = Success! END OF STORY.

We offer our challenge groups the following:

  • 30 Day Exclusive Challenge Group
  • Basic Clean Eating Tips
  • Meal Planning Tips/Tricks
  • 30 Day Supply of Shakeology
  • Motivation
  • Accountability
  • ME as your coach/guide through your journey

This is really the package deal! What helped me stay on track beginning my journey last February was the accountability in these groups! It is easy to say, "Oh, I just like doing it on my own." Ok well yes, I said the same thing... but what I found was when I ran into roadblocks, I had no one to share my frustrations with. If I had a plateau, I had no one to chat with or anyone to offer me a different method to follow. I knew nothing about clean eating. I knew about the 80/20 rule, but I never realized how effective it was until I had other people doing the same thing and seeing awesome results with it! It is all about balance with this journey, they helped me see that!

I want you to join me on this journey! Take a chance. Understand that it is totally ok to ask/want help and support through this journey. It is not a diet, fad, or a quick fix. We work hard, every single day because we know that the end results will be absolutely worth it! I am only accepting 4 more individuals in this group... If you would like to be considered, please fill out the below form or email me at stephainemcclintock@gmail.com!

I am really trying to mentally prepare myself because my husband and I have decided that we only want to venture out and do the larger grocery list shopping maybe once or twice a month, CRAZY RIGHT? Well the thing is, that means I would have to put together TWO weeks worth of meal plans. But as well as the bulk buying we are doing while grocery shopping to save money, this will ensure that we are able to have enough food for this longer period of time and help us stay on track. We have also agreed to not eat out until the New Year except for a Holiday Party we are attending later in the month.

What are my difficulties with staying on track with nutrition?
My biggest struggle while staying on track with my nutrition is sweets! I have tried to plan accordingly and choose "healthy" sweeter foods. This will help ensure that I am not grabbing snacks throughout the day or depriving myself. 80/20 rule is key when trying to stick with any fitness program. If you aren't then you will set yourself up for failure by depriving yourself of those "treats" here and there.

What do I hope to get out of this weekly meal plan?
I hope this meal plan and seeing it everyday keeps me on track because they do say, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I usually prep my lunches during the day Sunday and keep them similar because it's easier for me when I am in the office. I get a lot of peer pressure from the office, so I want to ensure that I am able to come back and say that I already have my lunch and pass on the invitation.

Beginning December 15th, my husband and I will be venturing into the crazy journey of Insanity Max: 30! I will be sharing our progress and our meal plans for the week as we go on and will ensure that we share with you our struggles and what we love about the program!
